Inside Iron Horse: Meet Michael Gonzalez.

Read Time: 3 Mins

Inside Iron Horse is our employee spotlight blog series that takes a look at the people that keep this agency and our clients moving and growing. Join us in celebrating these remarkable people as we dive into their passions, talents, and motivations.

This month, we’re thrilled to spotlight one of our copywriters, Mike Gonzalez! When this coffee-drinking, pizza-loving mountain-biker isn’t writing for various marketing projects, he also writes screenplays, short stories and, yes, even poems, having been published twice in local literary anthologies for short fiction and poetry.

What 3 words would you use to describe Iron Horse?

Dynamic, innovative, results-oriented

What’s your favorite part about working at Iron Horse?

First, working alongside smart, creative people. Second, Iron Horse fosters a collaborative and team-oriented culture. I appreciate the opportunity to work alongside talented individuals who share their expertise and insights, allowing us to collectively create outstanding marketing strategies.

What do you bring into every client relationship?

A strategic mindset and ability to think critically about the client’s business objectives, target audience, and market landscape. I prioritize the client’s success above all else. I consistently put myself in their shoes, seeking to understand their pain points, challenges, and aspirations to tailor marketing strategies and campaigns that address their specific needs and deliver tangible results.

What’s your favorite new marketing trend?

Personalized marketing. It’s the art of tailoring messages and experiences to individuals like a bespoke suit, making each customer feel like the center of attention. It’s a symphony of data and creativity, weaving together insights and preferences to deliver custom-made interactions. With a sprinkle of magic, personalized marketing transforms generic noise into a captivating melody that resonates with each person’s unique needs and desires. It’s the secret sauce that turns strangers into loyal fans, proving that in the realm of marketing, a personal touch goes a long way.

Who is the most influential person to you?

When it comes to influence, my dad takes the gold medal. He’s been like a compass, guiding me through life’s twists and turns with unwavering wisdom and love. With his patient guidance and support, he’s helped build my character and instilled in me a hunger for success. He’s not just a father, he’s a superhero in disguise, wielding his influence to shape my world for the better. My dad has been a maestro of inspiration and has left an indelible mark in my life, making him the most influential person I know.

What causes do you care about?

Human trafficking. In a world where empathy should be the emotion that guides our moral compass, caring about human trafficking is an imperative. It’s a battle against the dark forces that exploit and shatter lives, a rallying cry for justice and compassion. Each soul ensnared in its grip represents a voice silenced, a dream stolen, and a future denied. By caring about human trafficking, we support the guardians of hope and defenders of freedom who are out there every day trying to rescue our fellow humans.

What book did you last read?

Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand. It’s a literary voyage into the depths of human ambition, individualism, and the power of ideas. Within its pages lie philosophical insights and intellectual challenges that question the status quo, explore the profound connections between reason and freedom, and dare to envision a society driven by individualism and the pursuit of excellence.

If you had to eat one meal, every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Pizza or Italian food in general.

Most important question – does pineapple belong on pizza?

Absolutely!
