What are the components of a successful B2B webinar program?

There's really three parts: getting people to show up, getting them invested when they're there, and getting them to do something else afterward. This means picking a topic and a format that's a great fit for your audience, using your channels to put that message in front of the right people, and making it easy for them to get signed up, and designing follow-up that drives them toward clear actions.

How do you measure webinar success?

Depends what we're talking about! We look at registration to determine how well the promotion's working, we look at CTA responses to get an idea of how well the content's working, but ultimately, we know you're considering a webinar program because you want the results that matter to you. (This is, quite often, sales.) Let us know what success looks like to you, and we'll build a webinar program that works to achieve that.

That means we don't just create the content and hand you a video file, leaving you to figure out what to do with it. We're partners throughout the entire process, and we make sure that each step of the way is engineered with that final goal in mind.

But also… we really love webinars. Here's a glimpse at some of the ideas that drive our work. (And even if you don't work with us, have these on the house.)

  • Everyone on your panel should be an expert in something. When the webinar moves into their area of expertise, the other speakers should stand back and focus on serving as the audience advocate. 
  • Watching your webinar shouldn't feel like a chore. If you want returning audiences, plan everything to feel more like entertainment than education.
  • Add an (optional) box to your registration form that allows your audience to ask questions to be answered on the webinar. This is such an easy idea it makes us astonished we didn't do it from the beginning.

Goldcast is our primary partner, but we're platform agnostic! If you're in the middle of a contract, we're happy to work within your platform (but if it turns out you hate it, we can help get you into something that works a little better.)
